Join us in celebration for World Labyrinth Day on May 4, 2023. We will be walking our labyrinth as one at 1pm, as many people are worldwide. Live music and arts lab provided.

MEC's World Labyrinth Day for Peace  (Alexandria, LA)

Peaceful Hearts: Seek and Share

Three walks will be held on the newly created, dedicated, and blessed outdoor labyrinth at the Montessori Educational Center. All students- age 3 through 8th grade- will walk with a focus on peace- beginning in our hearts and sharing with our family, school, community, state, country, and world. Drs. Tanner will share brief focused, age-appropriate thoughts about the walk, followed by a silent processional through the permanent labyrinth, weather permitting. Students will begin and end the walk clasping crossed arms/hands as a symbol of shared peace. 

Since this is a private school, please contact principal for permission to attend these walks.

Walk for World Peace on World Labyrinth Day 2024 (Alexandria, LA)

Peaceful Hearts: Seek and Share

The labyrinth will be open for your self-guided walk all day. A printed "walk for peace" and brief introduction to the labyrinth will be available in the mailbox on the brick wall to the left as you enter the gate.

Walk the Labyrinth for World Peace (Alexandria, LA)

Walk for 1 at 1

The outdoor Labyrinth at Rapides Cancer Center will be open from 7 am - 7 pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 (World Labyrinth Day).  Judy Ginsburgh will be there from about 12:30 - 2 pm to facilitate Labyrinth walks with the public.  Stop by to learn more about Labyrinths and add your energy to the energy of the world for peace.

Celebrating Community on a Shared Path

Let’s celebrate World Labyrinth Day by "Walking as One at 1" on the glorious, iris-lined path of the UT Gardens! Enclosed by a circular arbor, this special place can be enjoyed by groups for a shared experience (as well as by individuals for personal introspection). How wonderful that we can take a metaphorical journey together, in synch with others around the world. Whether you are a labyrinth enthusiast or are unfamiliar and curious about the path, this event is a time to gather and connect with others at this beautiful community resource that is available to the public year-round.

Introduction to Walking the Labyrinth (Carrollton, TX)

In Honor of World Labyrinth Day

Ever wanted to know more about the labyrinth? Join us on Sunday, May 5 at 12:15pm in the sanctuary as we walk our labyrinth at Horizon Unitarian Universalist Church with our Senior Minister, Rev. Chris Rothbauer, who is a trained labyrinth facilitator with the Veriditas Society. This event is in honor of World Labyrinth Day, an international commemoration to raise awareness of the benefits of walking the labyrinths. No previous experience necessary!
