Groundbreaking research for the labyrinth community

World Labyrinth Day, 2021, 2022, 2023

Legacy Labyrinth Project, a collaborating partner with World Labyrinth Day,  partnered with Dr, Jocelyn McGee of Baylor University, Garland School of Social Work, and pioneer in the research of contemplative practice to create the research project The Big Connection. The research project took place during World Labyrinth Day.

Since 2021 Legacy Labyrinth Project has done 3 studies we call Big Connection 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0.

Our goal with these studies is to further study people connecting around the world while walking the labyrinth at the same time, as well as the connections they feel, the impacts of how heart/brain meditation and intention setting while walking the labyrinth, and the collective impact on global social issues, which we call Labyrinth Activism.

Labyrinth Activism as a term and practice came directly out of our Big Connection research.

All of the studies done to date have been submitted to journals for publication. Currently, Big Connection 1.0 and 2.0 are pending publication. When published the link will be on this page to view.
