The 17th WLD in 2025 was celebrated by individual and group walks, festivals, activities, and workshops across the world. There were over 400 events registered in 37 countries: Argentina, Australia (6 States & Territories), Belgium, Bonaire, Brazil, Canada (6 Provinces), Chile, China, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Germany, Honduras, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, Scotland, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, UK, and the USA (46 States). Events were held virtually and in-person at private homes, schools, universities and churches; at retirement homes and conference/retreat centers; in municipal buildings, libraries, and hospitals; in shopping malls and public parks, on beaches and country hillsides, in sculpture gardens and nature centers.
