World Labyrinth Day: meditation, art and community (Melbourne, Victoria)

This gathering will introduce you to the labyrinth. You will be guided through a meditation using a finger labyrinth supplied, with options to explore different labyrinth designs and textures. Using a finger labyrinth in meditation is an embodied practice that allows for a slowing down, relaxation and gentle self-reflection.

There is the opportunity to learn how to draw your own classical labyrinth using pencil and paper. There then will be time to follow your own impulse for art making, whether it be continuing your own labyrinth image, or any other art making. During this time music will be on low volume without chit chat inviting time to connect to yourself and to be in creative flow.

Location: Warrandyte, Melbourne, Victoria

Registration is required.

Saturday, May 4 9:30 am-12:30 p.m. AEST

Coming Home to Country Coming Home to Self (San Remo, Victoria)

Listening deeply to Heart to the storytelling of Monomeeth (Autumn) of the Yallock Bulluk Clan of the Boon Wurrung/Bunurong peoples before colonisation. If we listen to the in-between words, we can hear our souls speak about the sorrow of the long war and the loss of ways of knowing, being and doing for the First Peoples.

During the walk, as if in the footsteps of the First Peoples, to gain an understanding of these losses and make an individual commit to connecting to the Truth Telling and Treaty hearings on YouTube, to be visible in advocating for a fair, just, and equitable future for First Peoples

Location: At the rear of Lions Park San Remo Victoria

Registration is not required.

Saturday, May 4 1-2:00 pm AEST
