World Labyrinth Day Walk  (Palm Desert, CA)

"Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the globe participate in World Labyrinth Day as a moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. Many “Walk as One at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next.  We join this wave by offering a walk at 1 pm on May 6th.  All are welcome, no experience needed.  And for those who prefer we will have hand held labyrinths available.

The outdoor labyrinth at St. Margaret’s is modeled after the labyrinth constructed in the Sanctuary of Chartres Cathedral in France in 1201. Both labyrinths have eleven circuits, or rings, surrounding six-petal rose centers.  It is located in the courtyard south of our church building."
