World Labyrinth Day is an annual international event sponsored by The Labyrinth Society, Veriditas, and the Australian Labyrinth Net Inc. Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in this moving meditation for world peace and celebration of the labyrinth experience. Join others by walking the Labyrinth at 1:00 pm local time to participate in a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next around the globe.

Every year on the first Saturday in May thousands of people around the world participate in a moving meditation for world peace at 1:00 PM local time, creating a rolling wave of peaceful energy across the globe. Join us at 12:45 PM for a brief orientation and then walk the San Damiano labyrinth as a gesture of peace and solidarity. No charge, but kindly register so we know how many are coming.

Circles in the Sand is hosting an indoor canvas labyrinth walk. Attendees are encouraged to set an intention for their walk that includes world peace. On the canvas labyrinth, attendees walk to the center of the labyrinth and retrace their steps back to the entrance. Hand-held finger labyrinths will be available for those who prefer to use them.

At this celebration of World Labyrinth Day, we will be integrating the practice of Labyrinth walking with the healing experience of a soundbath. After a brief history and introduction to this spiritual practice and a check-in about helpful mindfulness techniques, Rev. Amanda will create a modern day ritual designed to guide you back into your heart, your body, and your own inner knowing.

Enjoy live music from the Destiny Muhammad Project on the outdoor labyrinth and color your own paper labyrinth for finger walking. Mini-sessions by the Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress, Maia Scott and Lars Howlett will provide insight into the history, design, and uses of labyrinths.
